“What is the best possible play to run in this situation?”

When coaches make these decisions, they try to factor in countless variables, and it’s impossible to consider them all. Playcall is the tool to augment the coach, more specifically answering:

“What does the data say is the best possible play to run in this situation?”

This gives coaches a virtual data analyst always at their disposal in every situation. It is the sounding board that coaches can lean on to ensure they’re always considering the analytics.

Playcall itself is driven by the GametimeAI Engine – the same powering our Insights tool. It uses many of the same characteristics of Insights, using a machine learning model to analyze all possible play characteristics and historical outcomes to identify recommended playcalls.
